Share Your Legacy
The Martin Luther King holiday is a reminder of the legacy just one person can leave for future generations. Together, we can do even more.
I invite you to take a moment and respond to this e-mail with a sentence or short paragraph, sharing the legacy you plan to leave to your children and grandchildren. I’d like to compile these responses and share them in a future newsletter.
You create a legacy when you:
- Speak encouraging words
- Spread happiness by remembering birthdays and sharing special events
- Pass on stories and songs affirming the goodness of life
- Share your faith and beliefs
- Preserve family traditions
- Teach the next generation how to make secret family recipes
- Nurture a love of books and reading
- Encourage curiosity and creativity
- Impart a specialized skill
- Model gratitude, kindness, or handling adversity with grace
- Give to the poor
- Share joy—laugh often
What will you do?
Leave a legacy and make the best of your life for the rest of your life!
